First look: Poland's Reserved opens in Westfield Stratford

Jun 13, 2024

Men's, women's and children's wear brand Reserved is owned by Polish retail group LPP, which also owns brands such as Cropp, Sinsay, House and Mohito.

LPP's plans to open a Reserved store in Westfield Stratford were first reported by Drapers in February.

Unveiled today, the 21,500 sq ft store features a bright, futuristic-inspired design, including cold-hued mood lighting, a minimalist, grey marble checkout desk and natural wood displays.

The Westfield Stratford City store is part of Reserved's new store design concept that aims to cut energy consumption by 30% by introducing optimal lighting management and wireless systems for services such as telecommunications, lighting and heating.

The store also features a dedicated online store warehouse for click-and-collect capabilities, allowing online customers to pick up their orders, as well as dedicated cash registers handling exclusively online order collections. and returns.

The Westfield Stratford City store opening is part of LPP's London-based retail expansion strategy for Reserved, which debuted in the UK in September 2017 with an ecommerce website launch and standalone store on 252-258 Oxford Street.

In November 2022, Drapers reported that Reserved would open a second Oxford Street store on the east end of the retail destination, at 70/88 Oxford Street. LPP today confirmed that the opening will take place next month.

The opening of Reserved's fourth London retail location – at Brent Cross shopping centre – is also set to happen in September.

LPP management board VP Przemysław Lutkiewicz said: "Over the recent months, we have shifted our focus towards Western markets, capitalising on the rising recognition of our brands among Europeans.

"The UK is one of the crucial locations, both from the perspective of its sales potential, as well as further strengthening our brand recognition. This is why we decided to open three new stores in London just a few weeks apart.

"Recognising the UK’s competitive landscape, which makes British customers quite demanding, we feel ready to take up this challenge. In recent years, we have made substantial strides in implementing an omnichannel strategy, focusing on consistent and captivating shopping experiences. We are confident that with these achievements, we can compete for the recognition of the British people on a larger scale than before."

September 2023 will also see Reserved debut on the Italian market with its first store in the country set to open at Milan's Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.

Apart from its native Poland, Reserved has more than 460 stores across Europe, including Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine and Belarus.
