I just bought my first yacht, so I did not know much about boats at all. Tony made me feel completely at ease about this. His knowledge about boats was second to none. When I first met Tony, he came across as very trustworthy and at the end of the deal my first instinct was proved right. Thanks for making the buying process an easy one.

We have recently purchased our first boat from Tony. As complete novices, Tony provided us with invaluable advice and helped us through the potential minefield of buying the boat we wanted. It took me several months to reach a decision on purchasing "Suantrai".
After countless emails, endless questions and two visits from Shetland I eventually did it. During this time I was impressed by Tony's endless patience with my dithering .
Having finally made the decision, I must say that I am delighted with my purchase.

To end with, I felt that Tony ought to be relieved of the many 112 mile round trip from Holy Loch to where the boat was laid up!

My wife Caren and I spent a considerable amount of time looking for our first boat and Tony was by far the most knowledgeable and supportive broker we dealt with. His easy attitude and helpful manner was a real breath of fresh air compared to some of the larger Clyde marinas. The boat is now at it’s winter-moring position – on land. From what I have been able to see so far, all seem to be ok after the freight. The cradle was well maid as well. So it feels good that all went well with the freight etc.

I would like to express my thanks to both of you for your time and effort to make this work, money transactions, building of cradle, loading etc. but also a big thanks for the well organized trip when me and my father came to see the boat. We both appreciated this short visit.

This summer we bought a 35' wooden motor sailer through Tony and we were so impressed with his services that we asked him to sell our 26' Nicholson. We found that Tony had a comprehensive knowledge of the boats he was selling, gave honest, sound advice and encouraged us to take time and make the right decision. We are delighted with our boat and have benefitted from some excellent after-sales advice.

In selling our Nicholson we found Tony gave sensible suggestions on presentation and price, marketed it well and spent time showing people round. I believe the best place to sell yachts on the Clyde is at the Holyloch Brokerage. With first hand experience of the lack of customer service from the big marina brokerages, I found Tony Richards a consummate professional and what a fantastic service he and his staff provided. Hassel free negotiations, sorted minor niggley and superficial issues when I found it hard to get time off. Unlike the other brokerages Tony knows the worth of your pride and joy and also the realistic selling price I wish I had come to him first and not wasted a year on the sales pontoon of a nearby large marina.
